FEBRUARY MEETING NOTES

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who participated in the January chili taste-off.  Thanks to those who brought the chili, thanks to Taylor who brought a HUGE power strip, thanks to those who helped to set up the tables and to those who helped with the clean-up.  I appreciate every bit of help that was given!  The winners this year were Diane Butscher and Kathy Foster in that order.  Many thanks for their tasteful chili, and for the chili that didn’t happen to come out on top during the voting.
Looking ahead to February, Bob and Diane Butscher spent several months traveling and exploring our wonderful world.  They went on a safari, and visited Egypt among many other fabulous stops.  They are going to share their experiences, and if luck goes our way with technology, there will be pictures too.
Looking ahead to March, get those thinking hats on because March is Gag Gift month along with the business meeting and elections for next year’s officers.  All of that is in preparation for April’s dinner at Piedmont Club for our officer installation and awards presentations.  And all of this means I will soon be asking for volunteer June, July, and August meeting locations away from Chapman.  Be ready!
Hoping many of you can find time away from packing your Roan Mountain suitcases to make it to the meeting!
