BACK TO CHAPMAN FOR SEPTEMBER
School is back in session (and I’m thankfully retired!) so that means we are returning to Chapman for September. Normal times will resume: 7:00 the room will be open, and 7:30 for the speaker to begin. Fall also means time to renew your dues, so bring that information along!
Our speaker is local Rev. Kirk H. Neely of Morningside Baptist Church. He wrote "A Good Mule is Hard to Find", a Hub-Bub publication. It is a down-homey type of book with local character. He will have some copies to sell/autograph as well as two other books he as written ( "When Grief Comes" and "Comfort and Joy" (Christmas). Book prices range from $15.00 to $20.00. So bring some extra cash, I think you will be quite enthralled!
Looking forward to the rest of the year, I’m working on Alpine to come and see us and the usual Wine &Cheese, Chili-Cook-off, and spring Gag Awards. October should be a really fun/great meeting if all of our plans come to fruition. Stay tuned.
